Excursion: Innsbruck Austria

For Schussmeisters’ 50th birthday, we will be traveling to gorgeous Innsbruck, Austria!  This town, nicknamed the Capital of the Alps, is nestled among 9 different ski areas.  In addition to skiing, you will be able to explore shops and cafes, go sightseeing, and try European delicacies at local restaurants.  By night, go out on the town to any of Innsbruck’s numerous bars, pubs, and discotheques (nightclubs).  There will also be optional extra day excursions available to destinations such as Venice, the Royal Bavarian Castles, and Bolzano, Italy!  Information will be posted once available so please continue checking this website.  This is sure to be a trip to remember so sign up before we sell out!

Lift tickets are available at an additional cost.  The Innsbruck resorts have not listed the 2011 prices yet, we will post them as soon as possible.*

All 9 ski areas near Innsbruck are accessible via a free shuttle system.  Transportation around Innsbruck itself includes city busing and streetcars (day/weekly tickets may be purchased at the tourist office near the center of town).

Optional extra day excursions are available to Salzburg, Venice, Royal Bavarian Castles, Bolzano Italy, St. Moritz, and more.*

Trip insurance is available at an additional cost ($100.00).  If you do NOT wish to purchase trip insurance, you MUST sign the waiver form, before September 15, 2010, to decline this expense. 

Delta luggage costs:  1st checked bag under 50 lbs. is free.  Additional bags are $50 each way.  Please check the Delta website for more information.

Hotel rooms are doubles (2 people).  Triples may be requested.  Single rooms are available at an additional cost.*

    We will be purchasing lift tickets once we arrive, but you may preorder through Schussmeisters if you would like.

    2010/2011 season lift prices are not up yet, but you can look at pricing for last season for a general idea.  There are different types of lift tickets available; some for specific ski areas and some for all 9 ski areas.  The Innsbruck Glacier pass includes all 9 ski areas (Nordpark, Patscherkofel, Axamer Lizum, Muttereralm, Kühtai, Rangger Köpfl, Glungezer, Schlick 2000 and Stubai Glacier) with 89 lifts, 295 km of trails, and free shuttle service to all 9 areas.

Mini Excursion: Mt. Snow Vermont

Dates: January 2nd to the 7th

We are going to be taking motor coach transportation (vcr/dvd and bathroom)

The Price includes 5 days at Mt. Snow in the Snow Lake lodge a 5 day lift pass and a Coach Bus Ride there and back. Snow Lake Lodge is a hotel located less than a mile from the mountain. A free shuttle is provided for transport to and from the mountain. Rooming with be 4 people per room. A daily continental breakfast is included. The hotel also has indoor and outdoor hot tubs and each room has a mini fridge.
